This award is in loving memory of our Ago sister Sue Queen Kreutter, whose tragic death has sparked us to recall many fond and special memories she left with her sisters in Alpha Kappa Phi.
Sue Queen was an Ago who pledged in 1975. She died in a car accident in 1981. Sue was an outstanding sister who possessed a love of life and, through her warmth and vitality, enriched those around her. This award serves as a continual reminder that many others may appreciate life and those that surround them as fully as Sue did.
Sue Queen Kreutter is honored with a silver charm bracelet worn each year by an outstanding junior who adds a charm to the bracelet. There is also a plaque displayed in our house that commemorates all award recipients back to the first award in 1982. The current award holder and the sorority advisor choose the recipient. Sisters are nominated by submitting an application to the current award holder.
